This exquisite vintage cloisonné vase is attributed to the celebrated Japanese workshop of Ando Jubei, known for its masterful artistry and refinement. Crafted in the 20th century, the vase takes on a graceful baluster form, its surface finished in a lustrous deep green wireless enamel—an advanced technique requiring the utmost precision.
Around the shoulder, a subtle floral motif emerges with delicate restraint, allowing the luminous enamel to shine as the central feature. The piece bears the Ando mark on its base, affirming its esteemed origin. Standing at 8.5 inches tall, it presents as both a decorative object and a testament to Japan’s enduring enameling tradition.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or notable flaws in the enamel. Present are a few small surface scratches on the body and a tiny wear spot on the silver rim which are consistent with an item of this age.
